OVF’s mission is to create sustainable voter engagement and mobilization programs in African American communities across Ohio by use of voter registration, education and issue awareness programs thru community based outreach to residents in low income communities.

Education

OVF utilizes local community organizing for all of its outreach programs through second chance skills training and leadership development.​ ​

Diverse Engagement 

OVF is committed to outreach/ engagement in predominantly African American Communities in Ohio, areas of low socioeconomic status, and university students. 

OFV is committed to educating Ohioans on the importance of civic engagement and their voice in the governing process.  

Mobilization 

OVF utilizes data from groups and polling that have proved to most effective in mobilizing this constituency to vote and become more civically informed on issues important to their community.
